This is a small, double-sided, plated-thru "breadboard" PCB for building prototypes and semi-permanent projects with 18 pin PIC Microcontrollers such as the PIC16F84, PIC16F84A, PIC16F627 and PIC16F628. The board is 2" X 2" in size.

All 16 possible I/O lines of the PIC16F62X series are brought out to a header along the top of the prototyping area. Provisions are made for using a ceramic resonator with built-in load capacitors or a crystal with external load caps. If you are using one of these external oscillator options, we recommend that you cut the unused traces to the I/O header to prevent them from acting as and antenna.

Provisions are made for a 7805 (TO-92 or TO-220 package) regulator and the appropriate decoupling caps. VDD and ground busses run across the center of the prototyping area. A position for a pull-up resistor on the MCLR pin is provided.
